Maya Jon learned to bead and sew in childhood while attending a Native American after-school program. She spent her formative years apprenticing with elders in her family and in her community, studying many different religions and indigenous practices. 

The intricate, methodical nature is a meditative process creating patterns by using seed beads, silver, gold and semi precious stones. Maya has designed and made traditional Native American style beaded jewelry for four decades. Each piece is original and one of a kind.
